Sighting with 2 male Lions, 5 lionesses and 12 cubs.

Along the H10 on a very rainy day, between Muntshe and Mlondozi waterholes

Distance was less then 50 meters.

First we saw two lionesses. After having stopped the car and with a better look we saw lots of cubs hiding a bit agains teh rain and laying down very close to each other. The cubs were in mainly two age-classes , very young and some were a bit older.
The males were at some distance from the mothers and clildren.

Just watch what we saw and imagine to be there looking at these little cubs coming for drinking with the mothers, asking for some care, complaining about the rain and playing with each other. You understand we stayed there for some time.
We were lucky with the rain/wind so we could have our windows open and able to make pictures of this pride.

Very nice to see how the lionesses were taking care of the little ones...bonding and caring...

Good way to see how wet it was...
We were asking ourselves why they did not go to the trees just 100 meters away... to hide ...

The other male was far more backwards , we could see him but no good pictures of him...
